 Poorly constructed. You get what you pay for. July 28, 2010

After approximately 3 weeks, nearly every eyelet has torn through the fabric that holds them. I weigh about 210 lbs and use this thing maybe twice a week. As mentioned in another review, the fabric is not a single sheet of quilted fabric as I had thought. It consists of a bunch of approximately 1 inch strips that are loosely weaved together. The result of this is that the minute you try to lay in it, the strips quickly separate causing body parts and rear ends to simply fall through the hammock.
The price looked to good to be true and unfortunately it was. I absolutely would not recommend this product.
Not 500 lb. capacity...not even 225... July 21, 2010

Nice enough looking hammock and BIG. I (125 lb) laid on it and was fine but when BF (225) did, it tore at several of the eyelets. And it's tighter in the middle than on the two sides, making it uncomfortable and unstable for one. I had purchased it b/c it promised 500 lb. (so both of us could lounge in the summer sun) and it wouldn't come close to that capacity.

We were so excited to get this hammock. We'd gotten the Strathwood patio swing last year and it was excellent quality. Unfortunately, this hammock started ripping at the eyelets during the first week of use. I can't return it now because I ordered it in April but just started using it a week ago. Very disappointed.

Had an old rope hammock and decided to get something new. This hammock is so comfortable and soft when you lay on it. Had lots of raves about it at a recent party. Great product. Would highly recommend.

We were excited to recieve this and it looked like a wonderful quality hammock. The fabric is soft and quilted, a nice neutral color. The bed of the hammock is made up of 2 inch strips of this fabric interwoven. It is not a solid piece of quilted fabric like a bed spread. This was a surprise, but I thought it might be good as it would allow for a little air movement through the bed. The included chains are very heavy. No "S" hooks were at the end of the chains, so you need to get those somewhere else to actually hang the hammock on a stand. The problem hit when we actually tried to use the the hammock. Almost as soon as you recline, the woven straps start to separate. With even slight swinging of the hammock, this process continues until a gap has opened up large enough for the would-be relaxing person's rear end to hang out completely. We tried different people of different sizes and always the same result. You end up with large parts of you sticking thorugh within 15 minutes. We are returning the hammock and going for the solid fabric version.
