Amazon could not have been nicer to me. I ordered the umbrella, it came quickly. When we screwed the top of the pole into the bottom, it didn't seem like there was much overlap to make it secure. Stepped back, sure enough, it was crooked, wobbly. Ok, we lived with it for a few days. Then when we went to put on a tablecloth, we needed to lift the umbrella out of the stand, so we carefully lifted..and I mean carefully. Sure enough then one of the ribs broke. From start to finish, all this took place in 6 days. The umbrella it was replacing was 10 years old and still works and although it's faded, is usable in emergencies. We bought another, more expensive, and are happy with it now.

For the price, this umbrella is great! It was really hard to find a black umbrella under $100, so when I found this one I was really excited. Fast shipping also!

I got this umbrella two seasons ago and for the price it has held up well. One of the wood supports finally split and one hole formed in the nylon...not bad for 2 years and $69 at the time. Now it's even cheaper.

I ordered this umbrella to donate to my son's preschool classroom. Within a couple of weeks, the wood split and pole bent. When his teacher brought it to my attention, I was embarassed I even had it sent to her - let alone to use around children. I put a claim in with the company and in their defense, after sending photos, they gave me a full refund (shipping included).

I was very impressed as soon as I opened the box! I looked all over town for a black umbrella and could not find one nor could I get something similar for the same price. I am happy with the fabric----it does not feel cheap and I got a "steal" of a price!
