I purchased this TropiShade umbrella as well as a TropiLight umbrella. I actually like the TropiLight umbrella more because the rods that extend the umbrella up are straight while the TropiShade rods are slightly curved. I thought that the only difference was the light feature, but they have different shapes when fully open. When fully open, the top of the TropiLight umbrella is straight and angular while the TropiShade umbrella is slightly curved like a slight rainbow. They both have nice crank mechanisms to open and close the umbrella. Just be aware that these umbrellas are aluminum and are very light which is great to move around and easily set up, but definitely need to be put away or closed and secured on windy days.

Buyer Beware !!! If you want quality don't buy it...It's not worth the 80+ dollars you'll spend..It looks and feels cheap..I was amazed at how light in weight the box was when the UPS man dropped it off.. That was a red flag to me...I know for a fact I could go to a local store and spend $40.00 for the same exact umbrella.. I am VERY disappointed !!!! Good Luck to those that have purchased this item..You definitely get what you pay for...

Umbrella very ligh wgt. Slighest breeze and it wants to take off--the top vent is not construct correctly to assist this problem as others we have had.
Would not buy again.

Umbrella was ordered for overnight Saturday Delivery anbd arrived two days after. Although pictured with a base, none arrived and evidently ot does not come with a base.

Having compared 9' umbrellas with crank to fit over our new 8' octagonal picnic table, we were very please by the price of this item. Found comparable at over $100 more. Only disappointment was not having color choice.
