I bought this stool in March 2007 and as soon as I received it suspected that it
would not last long. It is still holding together and steady almost three years later, but it looks worse for wear and has been exiled to the balcony.
For the bathroom, buy a solid teak stool that can be in a moist environment
and stay looking good. This one is rubberwood with a teak finish. Rubberwood doesn't withstand moisture. Might make a good printer stand.
Easy to assemble.

I ordered the shower bench and was disappointed to find that it wasn't designed to go in the shower like I thought, and the weight limit is 170 lbs. which doesn't accommodate many of the elderly guests I'd intended it for....it was already scratched in several places and just doesn't appear to be very sturdy....but sending it back is always a hassle so I'm keeping it and hoping it will serve some purpose......

We bought this stool and received it in good time. We're always happy with Amazon and their partners for the delivery of products as a Prime member.
This product is from Target. When I started to assemble the stool, I found that the manufacturer cut the hole on the wrong side for the center "stretcher" that connects the two legs. It's not a matter of shipping me two 'right leg' - they actually shipped me a right and a left but drilled the hole on the wrong side. This is an example of "poor manufacturing control."
HERE IS THE BIGGEST problem. This product can not be returned to or through Amazon because it is considered to have hazardous chemicals included in it's manufacturing. Best I can guess - the Teak stain used is considered hazardous. I'm told to contact Target directly but when I try, Target does not have a friendly return system and doesn't recognize that I bought the item. It may be that my only option is to return the stool to the brickfront store - something I don't want to do which is why I use Amazon.
This isn't a normal situation with Amazon but not sure about Target
